Overview Aircraft Base Reviews Basic Information

Your experience starts with your feet firmly on the ground and a briefing about flying techniques and safety.  Then climb aboard your luxurious 4-seat  Cirrus SR22  with a fully-qualified Cirrus specialist instructor.  You can then be confident you're piloting the 'sports cars' of the aeronautical world.  Next, airplane rolling out of the hangar for your flight, during which time and at the pilot's discretion you can take the flight controls and experience the absolute joy of flying a plane.  You can fly slow and low or high and fast.  It’s up to you.

The feeling of control is brilliant, not to mention the breathtaking views...  you'll never look at the sky or the earth in quite the same way again.

Reviews

"An unforgettable experience!  We flew to Mykonos for lunch on Sunday and came back in the afternoon.  I took the controls for some time.  The weather was not good, it was raining at times and we were getting in and out of the clouds.  However, we experienced absolutely no turbulence at any time.  At Mykonos the rain had stopped.  In winter the island is totally different than in the summer.  Not that glamorous but so much more beautiful."

"The flight to Corfu was a delight; the views, the sky but above all the convenience.  We flew under Instrument Flight Rules.  I could not believe that we could possibly do Kerkyra–Athens– Kerkyra on the same day.  Looking forward to doing this again with my wife."

"Kastelorizo was a true revelation.  We both fell in love at first sight.  We enjoyed the magnificent flight of the Aegean islands listening to the ipod music on the background and in  2 hours non-stop, we had reached our destination.  We will do this again. Many Thanks."

Basic Information

Membership

It is required that you become a member of the Aeroclub Flight Experience.  Membership fee is 30 Euros per year.  For more info please visit the  “How to Join us”  section of our website.

Availability

We operate six days a week all year round.  However, please note that weekends are particularly busy – please book several weeks in advance.  During the winter months flights are usually run earlier in the day, during daylight hours.  You simply need to show up at the agreed time and day, at the entrance of the airfield, where you will meet your pilot – flying instructor.

Land Away Airport

The problem in Greece is that most airports operate at restricted hours that may change depending on the season of the year.  It is important that you communicate with Flight Experience regarding possible restrictions (e.g. military airports, etc.), while we would advise to visit the  “Airport Operating Hours”  link included in the Airport Information section of our website Links.

Participant Guidelines

Restrictions may vary according to venue.  As a guide, the minimum age varies from 10 to 12 and maximum weight per person is 120 kg.  You may be asked for your id card and passport for security reasons.  The maximum number of persons that can participate in one flight is 2 adults and one child or 3 adults whose total weight does not exceed 250 kg.

Weather

Flying is a weather dependent activity and it's essential that you contact Flight Experience for a weather check before setting out.  If your flight is cancelled because of the weather, it can be re-booked for an alternative date or time.

Duration

Your experience will last the total flight time (depending on the destination, e.g., Mykonos 45 minutes, Kastelorizo 2 hours), plus 20 minutes for the various briefings before and after the take-off and landing.  For more info, kindly contact Flight Experience using the details provided in the  "Contact Us"  section of our website.

Cost

The cost is simply the cost of the airplane flight based on the duration of the flight.  The cost is not per person but per flight.  For more information please visit the  "Contact Us"  section of our website.
